Rest, Travel and Reinvent: My Guide to Balancing Leisure and Learning

Hey!

Just want to chat a bit about my upcoming vacation. Unlike most, I’m mixing up some family time with a dash of tech growth. I’m not just planning for some poolside relaxation and walk in the mountains, I’m also gearing up for my next move in the job market.

Now, don’t get me wrong. It’s not all work. I’m super excited about the trips, the family time, and those afternoons in the mountains in southern Europe. But, when the sun sets and the my world quiets down, it’s just me and my laptop, getting ready for what’s next.

I’ve come across a couple of online courses that caught my interest: Google’s Machine Learning Crash Course(https://developers.google.com/machine-learning/crash-course/ml-intro ) and deeplearning.ai’s ChatGPT Prompt Engineering for Developers (https://www.deeplearning.ai/short-courses/chatgpt-prompt-engineering-for-developers/). Sound like a mouthful? Well, they are, but in the best possible way.

The first course is all about diving into the world of machine learning. I’m looking forward to cracking it open in the evenings, maybe a beer in hand, learning about the tech that powers some of our online experiences.

The second course focuses on GPT Prompt Engineering. It’s a deep dive into artificial intelligence, understanding how language models like the one developed by OpenAI work. It’s sort of my challenge, unraveling these advanced models and learning to tweak them for better results.

Now, I know this may not be everyone’s idea of a holiday, but hey, we all have our unique ways to relax, right?

So here’s to a vacation full of roadtripping, fun, family time, and…. machine learning.

Bring it on!
